A very fine, rare and important 1792 map of New Holland which presents the most up to date information, emphasized in the subtitle: Agreeable to the latest Discoveries.
It presents in fine detail the complete East coast including Cook's prolific place names, many of which are still in use today, as well as the first widely available sketch of Port Jackson.
Published in the 30 years between the voyages of Cook (1769 - 1771) and Finders and Baudin (1800 - 1803), the South coast including the Great Australian Bight and Bass Strait are still unknown and unexplored. Tasmania is shown as Van Diemans Land and is still shown as fancifully attached to the mainland.
Reproduced from the original chart, then hand coloured in the style of the period and digitally printed on premium quality 200 gsm matte (uncoated) paper, framed with shatterproof plexiglass - includes hanging kit.
Shipped in protective packaging and a strong box to ensure no damage during transportation.
